The Caption is Back!

Remember the Dagger Caption? Still paddling one? It's a favorite tandem whitewater canoe design that disappeared to the disappointment of many when Dagger quit making canoes a couple of years ago.
One of the big pluses in the Confluence Water Sports acquisition of Watermark is that they are bringing back some of the classic Dagger canoe designs under the Mad River label - for 2006, it was the Legend, a good all-round river-tripping canoe. For 2007, it's the Caption! 14 feet long, 57 pounds, designed for two people to dance down the river together.
It's nice to see this boat come back!

I'd be more excited about this if we could confirm any of it on the websites of Confluence, Dagger, Mad River or whoever; and if I didn't hear lots of negative comments about Confluence's customer/retailer service when it comes to both the quality of the canoes and their ability to fill an order or deal with a complaint.
As it is, regardless of what old designs they bring back, I'd rather spend my money with a better canoe company.
