It ain't Louie fest 07

Post by Louie »

hades fire Craig we're tryin to get people to come not stay away. It's Single sticker fest or something like that. I would like this to be bigger than one person, it need to be for all of us real boater who have been made to take a back seat to the sissy stickers of the world. I will check with the Canadians and lets see if we can work it out to where it is when they are here and make it a internation event. I mean we'll have boaters from the CSA, USA, and the Lone Star Republice ( I know they use to be part of the CSA, but hades it's best if we let them represent themselfs) Lets work it out where a fourth nation could take part (that would be Canada). His lardship the Hornable(?) Chris Kelly could carry our concerns to the AWA, we as a group could work on ways to get more younguns involved in C boatin, you know they've come out with a new canoe for kids, maybe a class on convertin girls boats into C boats that sorta thing

1. Clinics. We could got from novice up through creeking, gates and play moves. I bet plenty of us would teach and also take a clinic. I might do both.

2. Rolling classes.

3. Outfitting'conversion clinics. People could actually bring boats.

4. A pig roast.

5. A blowlog.

6. Neeked wimmens

7. Trips to various rivers and creeks.

8. As Louie mentioned a film fest

9. Side trips to Dollywood.

10. Safety/river rescue/cpr/first aid clinics.

11. Sex ed for kayakers.

sounds awesome, I may even make a trip back east for it. Never paddled back east but it looks pretty sweet. 8)

Talked to Tim Ed Splanger, Nolan Whitesail, & Milt Akins. We workin on lining up new and old footage for the mini film fest at the single sticker thing. Nolan might hold roll class for people in big boat and well try and get Eli to hold a class for the smaller boats.

I maybe interest it depends on the dates, our March break would be best for us, ( thats the week of the 12th ) How long would this go on for ? If we did come there would be four of us, all in solo boats, our girls in their Splash boats.

The problem that I have... it's still ski season up here than and the girls love their down hill as much as their open boats  :D

If you have Splashs

We need you here as much as anyone. To show off and see a kids boat is the very thing I'd hope this would be about. The lower Tellico or Lower Little should be great for kids of any age and considering I know people would want to do the upper on both you and yours could go on these trips watch us big kids run the upper and we'd watch, set safety and film yours on the lower, We could hopefuly put together a DVD showin kids havein fun on the water we could show to others who ain't got a clue that white water canoein is for all kids. Now about the ski things hades fire we got three lakes here in Lenoir City and while most people have their boats put away for the winter I could get someone to get theirs out to put youns around.....what? ....uh?.... oh that kinda skiin , hades fire that ain't no problem we got Gatlinburg an hour away and Cattahoccchine not much futher, comin from Canada you'd be goin by Cannan, Showshoe, and Winterplace in West by god Virgina come on down and do boatin and skin in a new place. I'll block out the banquit hall for two weekend and the week in the middle and let peopls show up when they can durin that period.

I have the same issue that Al G. does (except I'm not the designer of a cool kids boat! ). The boy has a Freestyle Mogul comp that weekend and the girl has a number of Alpine races. Since SNOW ski season (3 to 5 mths) is shorter than paddle season (all year round) - skiing rules the day at casa de cline.
BUT if there are crappy ski conditions (rain - like that is really bad conditions for anyone that boats) we, or at least I, will try to show up. On one condition.. I get to demo out a Taureau  !
Keep us posted as things shape up - I think a southern trip would be a good time and a nice change of temp! Maybe I can even get Big Al to tag along (hint)!!! 8)
Respectfully yours in the C - Paul C.

We'll have to rig up an internet connect, I know you can't stay away from the kiddy pool too long. It will be great to have you here.
