I'll be hosting another gathering of C-boaters in Switzerland next May. The date chosen is May 17-20 - yeah, that thar 4day weekend thingy so plenty of time to travel, paddle and play. With luck we'll have water still on some of my favourite runs, and if there's still snow maybe we can ski as well (Those of you who know me know that I ain't kldding....)
So, plan your calendars and I'll see you in Switzerland in May....with atleast 2 C1 squirts in attendance (I promise I'll finish it by then Adam! Last time I rent a place without a workshop!)

Hmmm....new country, new rivers...-
Still not enough c-boaters....
to look forward to sth. > sich auf etw. freuen
to rejoice > sich freuen
to be glad > sich freuen
to be pleased > sich freuen
to be happy for so. > sich für jmdn. freuen
to share so.'s happiness > sich mit jmdm. freuen
to be happy about sth. > sich über etw. freuen
to be pleased with sth. > sich über etw. freuen
to be able to look forward to > sich auf etw. freuen können
to be as pleased as Punch > sich freuen wie ein Schneekönig
to gloat > sich hämisch freuen
to be thrilled > sich riesig freuen
to be as merry as a lark > sich wie ein Schneekönig freuen
Matt, the first time I was driving through Switzerland to Zurich area I noticed somthing peculiar with the Highway... It seemd that every road off the autoroute seemed to lead to the Town "Ausfart"... I suppose if you can figure out where that darn town is you'll get your bearings
Ya know Sandie...you plan too early I thought I might get in ahead of you this time but you better drop by after the concert so we can go boatin'...where do I find ticket info btw - I've got a couple of their discs

Hiya Beereddy,
It's just a rough translation, but Taniwha = Water Spirit or water ddemon in Maori (NZ Natives). It means more than that, but honestly it's hard for me to put into words
