Not an artist, but I like 'em - they capture the energy.

I'm glad you guys like it. Thanks. I made about 160 of them when I was still in a sling from shoulder surgery (obviously wishing I could flip about like that)

Pretty nice stuff, especially since it comes from a paddler meaning that the artist knows how a body really positions itself making the images much more recognisable for us.

Thanks for that comment. It's exactly the point I tried to make (several times) during grad school but the professors wanted me to turn the work into something neo-classical or totally wacky. While I have simply been searching for ways to express the movement, power and grace of paddlesports.

I sold a few so started framing them up, and got carried away and ended up with 24 new framed drawings (and an explaination from my last show). The blog entry comes in 6 installments that should be finished by the end of the week (or whenever I get some more time on the computer)

I have web pages of the drawings for sale now. I post here because there is are three special boater pages that have the framed drawings and block prints for only $50. You have to use the URL above to access the three pages. Everyone else who comes in from the main site will see different (more expensive) pages.

added some etching to the mix. These start to get a little abstract, but are all based on looking at and playing in water.
