New boat for me

Post by C1Dub »

I am so excited about my new boat. :D A Millbrook Ignitor with custom outfitting courtesy of Kaz. (Thanks John, its wonderfull!) And what a sweet boat it is. Very responsive and light enough for me to carry and get on the car by myself. For those of you that don't know me I'm about 4'11'' so this is a very important thing. So far I'm not having a problem keeping it reasonably dry but I haven't had it out in anything over class II yet. I'm workin on it. I foresee a few swims in my future until I get a good handle on it. :o

I have not given up the C1 just wanted a new toy to challenge me.

Just a few pics for now. More to come as I paddle it.

Happy paddling,

Sweet looking boat! Kaz does turn out a nice product!
Sounds like you need a loop run to tweak it out a tad. Sunday at 11-12 with Al, Jacob and I. Oh and I hope that outfitting is adjustable - for Jacob (and maybe his dad)!
Hope to C U there!

Yes I do need a loop run (or 2 or 3). Unfortunately I'll be out of town this weekend chasing gates as usual. Definitely anxious to hook up soon though to paddle it more. As for the outfitting its pretty tight to fit me but you might be able to do a test drive by getting in front of them. Unless Jacob packed on the lbs over the winter he should fit in it.

Hi Natalie,

I'm glad you're liking the new boat. The Ignitor is a lot of fun. It'd definitely on my list of future boats :D

So I take it you're going to the Esopus this weekend? Are you going to race the new boat? I was hoping to make it up to that race, but I haven't been able to find a ride up. So I guess I'll see you at some of the fall races. Speaking of which--any news on that Riversport slalom? If it's on, I'm thinking about combining it with a trip out to the Yough. Let me know how that goes.
