Sat. Night Dinner

Post by Sir Adam »

Ok, are we going to attempt a repeat of the 2002 Stromboli championship this year? Kalin? Should we warn those poor folks we'll be descending on them? What IS everyone thinking about for dinner??

C y'all soon!

The same place as last time would be fine by me - it was a Fox's Pizza Den (coincidentally there is one a mile from our house and in Ohiopyle, too). I thought about calling ahead, this time, too. It might make things go smoother if they were expecting us and if we kept things simple?

I agree with Scott. Maybe we could call when we get to the takeout in the late afternoon (after we get a head count and determine a time). We could give them a heads up and place an order for a couple of Pizza's as appetizers.

I was the first person to go into Fox's last year and when I told that high school girl she was about to be overwhelmed, she didn't at first take me seriously and then as everyone kept rolling in, she started to loose it.....In the long run I think we made their evening as if I recall correctly, we left them a pretty good tip.

Adam: Do we have any idea how many of us their are going to be. Could this be a record setting year? If your paddling the Viper, you will have no excuses not to surf every little wave on the North Branch and have your arms completely worn out and your face hurting from smiling so much by the end of the day....DM

Last year...

Post by KNeal »

I had about 11 posts on the message board of people attending the Armada. If I remember correctly, someone mentioned that there were approximately 60 single bladers on the river! I do not know if this number was correct, but I hope it was in the ball park. My guess is that you're gonna have even more this year!

The night at Fox's Pizza Den was one to remember. That poor girl behind the counter must have threatened to quit about 5 different times! :o It would probably help them out if they knew they are going to get swamped, again.

Y'all have a blast. I'm really missing the Armada already.
