Dagger Pedestal

Post by The Mad Hatters Assistant »

Just a question to you all.

I've a Dagger SuperEgo, with a Perception Pedestal, I'm thinking of swapping it for a Dagger Pedestal. Know I thought it was a simple fit and forget. A Plastic Strap comes with the Pedestal (Bow end).
1. Has anyone simply glued the Pedestal in without securing it to the Seat Fixing Screws but with the assistance of Microcell Foam?
2. If the Pedestal has been fitted to the Seat Fixing Screws have you moved the Strap back and fitted Aluminium or Stainless Steel Adaptor Brackets.

Any answers appreciated as various photos have never quite completed the outfitting story!

Cheers all

That Dagger Pedestal

I meant to say the Seat Fixing Screws are too far back from the Pedestal's 'Bow fixed Strap' to simply use the Strap as an anchoring point without the aid of an adaptor bracket

Cheers

In my old boat, I glued in a layer of thin foam, then glued the pedestal to that. It worked great. I really like the dagger pedestal, because it doesn't require much foam to make it work well. Good luck
