Cu-Fly - hole in de boat -Dumb!

Post by Big Al »

Alright, so I get the CU-Fly and right off realized I need to install a bilge pump. The 1" hole I drilled for the outlet was only slightly above the water line and the Fly was taking in water through that hole when the pump was not operating. Dumb.
I re-drilled 4-6 inches higher and it's working great. I can douse darksiders really well while sitting in eddies.

Plugging the original hole I've got the one inch circular piece of plastic I cut out from the 2nd outlet along with marine glue and duct tape.

I looked at some kayak drain plugs but their diameters were exactly one inch. Is there a permanent and relatively easy solution out there to seal up that original dumb mistake?
Thanks!

Al I have a plastic welder! Let me know if / when you want to borrow it.
Craig's idea of a one way would work too. :-)

I think you should put a spigot there.
