Just curious after seeing some outfitting if these 'base plates' are still available anywhere or if anybody else is making things of this nature. I usually use hulls of old destroyed kayaks but those are not super easy to find sometimes.

Yeah, that dude is still around somewhere. Last time I saw him though, he was taking plastic and molding it into American Idol Action Figures.

Yes, Virginia, there is a Satan Clause. You can get the raw sheets (in 48x96) from a plastics distributor and cut and heatgun mold the plate into your steed. Anchor your straps through the plate and glue your padding, and you're set (minus skirt)

This, of course, is an oversimplification. If you need greater detail, PM me privately and I can hook you up with something more. My carpal tunnel specialist says I have done enough typing for today...
