Cheat Fest no shows

Post by Doug McKnight »

I'm just curious about why no open boaters were at the Fest this weekend. Other than me and Dave Swingley, I only saw 3 other boats there. One other Zoom and two Rodeos. Are we really on the same path as the dinosaur? This is why I'm heading north in two weeks,I hear canoes are alive and well at Palmer Fest Doug

There were like 155 boaters in the Cheat Race this year, and Jay and I were the only canoes. Only two of us! Last year there were like 160 racers and Milt and I were the only canoes.

It's kind of weird!

if it's the same as boating around here, everyone's enjoying their last few days of local boating before having to hit the road...down deep south it's nearing the end of a season - may even take a couple weeks off
