I'm a goof. Definitely left handed, but paddle right. Once upon a time I could paddle on either side., well, at least it isn't the DARK side!

Either side in raft or tandem.

Right handed, righty, although when I paddle as a lefty, I have more finess, because the right hand is the top hand.
Reason for righty? I think because of the flexibility and the brace. Crappy brace on the left...

Does "righty" mean that your right hand controls the blade angle, like in a K-1 (i.e. your right hand is on the T-grip) or that you paddle on the right side of your boat, in which case your left hand would be on the T-grip?

As I understand:
blade on the right side (T-grip = left hand) = righty
blade on the left side (T-grip = right hand) = lefty

At least I hope, bacause I'm a righty according that definition and ordered recently a paddle for a righty

How would a paddle be a "lefty" or a "righty" paddle? I thought canoe paddles were interchangeable, at least all the ones I've ever seen or used were...

assymetric blades: in this case: profiplast air. I ordered it over a month ago, it is still waiting to be send. But I have high hopes.

You can use a righty paddle as lefty, but not at his full potential. Same the other way around.

Most blades do are symmetrical though. I didn't know about assymetrical canoe blades before ordering the profiplast air.

Ah, OK--that gives me an idea! I'll sell all my old paddles that I've worn out as a lefty paddler to righties as asymmetrical righty paddles! Think there's money to be made there?

Right-handed. Prefer paddling left whn push-comes-to-shove.

Only roll on my right though! So, while I prefer left for OC-1, what little C-1ing I do is mostly righty, for the better bracing and roll.

Either side tandem.
