We all agree that Section IV is class IV, No week goes by that some open boater doesn't paddle it.

Same for Daddy's, the Sinks, Upper Tellico, Crooked Fork and on and on.

Go to any Class IV run in the SE on the weekend and you'll see a few OCs around. I got to agree that Sec4 always has a few OC staging at the Bull on the weekend......I would not call Sec4 class IV until Five Falls though.

I know every time I'm up there I run into someone, OC or C1.

Thanks Louie. I actually ran into Dave at the grocery store a couple of weeks ago and he told me that he and MJ were going to ALF so I will be getting in touch with them.

As far as Section IV, yeah, I've met a number of open boaters there, but seems like most of them stick close to the Chattooga. Maybe I just haven't met the right ones - well I did meet Corrine (hope I spelled her name right) there.

Yesterday on the Cheoah I only saw 3 open boats on the water and two of those were me and Corrine. Then I saw 2 open boats on a car. Where are the open boaters? Just curious.

Well

if I had been home there would have been four more, but my groups can't remember how to get to most river with out me,
Two of my group went to Tellico yesterday to avoid the crowd

Remember turkeys ( butt boats ) flock, but eagles ( C boats ) soar alone

Hey Louie

Would that be Jeff and Dan headed to the Tellico? I'm going to have to call those guys.

Actually the crowd wasn't too bad on the Cheoah. O'Henry's was practically empty. Cold weather had been predicted and I guess it skeered off all but the serious paddlers. You could actually catch the few existing eddies without any trouble and it turned out to be a beautiful day.

So is this Eileen chick and PLG coming to ALF? Ya'll need to head back this way. Your videos look like you're havin too much fun in Mexico. If I had a little money and a little time I'd head down there and paddle with you guys.

LRC.... sunny and upper 50's with water (both days)... they had Grand Opening of the Little River Canyon Resource Center this weekend... a joint venture of The park Service and Jax State... so a bunch of us regulars, put in an appearance... besides Cheoah was just a one day release, although heard a good one 1200 - maybe that kept everyone away

if your killing time in the area (like waiting on someone) stop in, really nice place (and actual toilets that flush)
