No apology required, I know where I stand as far as open boating.Louie wrote:I'll take your word for it and appolgize to open gate
Take a look at last year's calendar, month of march it'll give you an idea
Your post just made it sound like it would be awesome to have these in our back yards. what good if they are not ran ?
Though we do have surf waves available all year long 15 minutes away from home 12 months per year, winter here is alot more exciting on 2 skis, and WAAAAY better for fitness then paddling. 1000 miles of XC skiing makes spring creeking effortless
Of which calender do you speak?
The first one fall 55 feet and breaks on rocks a lot of rocks the others have been ran Like Snowboarding, the filming comes second to the boatin. I'm sure takein nine month out of the year to snowboard gives you an edge for your three month when the water ain't froze, personally I rather just paddle 12 months and not have to get any of those stick thing for my feet.
The only thing wrong with winter sports is the weather.

I am just Cameraman, director and I drive the truck. Fred is production and I only get one chance to make any changes before it goes on line. He does about four hour of work and out of his sick, little mind comes these masterpieces.
I have not made a video since NPFF in 1991 and not being involved in it in the ditigal age, heck it is night and day different from what we did. We would collect raw footage for 11 month and then the first of Feb go into a mad rush to cut splice tape, time music by lifting the arms on the 78's or was thet 33, whatever. We knew every step in the process lessened the quality, One pass at editing, special effects, fade and titles and one at music. Sweating drop of blood early into the morning with sore eyes, fingers and back Trying to beat some dead line. Fred is eating a tortis & drinkin a Sol with one hand and runnin two computer with the other.
And another dam thing, back in the day we had a once a year shot at getting something see past our friends and kins and maybe Chota would call and beg if we would show some footage. Now of days we boat on Thursday and Friday night I'm answers some questions about a river in Mexico from a guy in Scotland who has watched the videos. I guess in that respect the ditigal age is OK, but just once I like to see just one drop of blood mixed sweat come off Fred brow during production, well besides that time I hit him in the head with the truck, but the cleaning lady says it is a cute scar
