The American Whitewater Affiliation video is done!

Post by phreon »

The AWF videos are burnt, in the cases, wrapped, addressed and sitting in a stack as we speak. If I can get away during lunch, I'll ship them tomorrow ( Monday, 6/8 ). I'm kind of in the red on this, so they'll ship media mail which is economical, but can be slow sometimes (or just a few days, it's really random). For the few of you in Canada, I don't know what method I'll use; I'll figure that out when I'm at the post office.

I hope the film was worth the wait.

Thanks,

Phreon

The AWF videos have been shipped!!

It's all up to the United States Postal Service now; I just dropped the packages off. Shipping was quite reasonable: $1.71 for most of the packages and $2.01 for the few of our neighbors up in the Great White North.

Cheers,

All videos were sent USPS First Class, so I imagine they should start showing up soon.

I need to go get my apron on and take my doggie on a paddle soon! I hope I can have a beautiful draw through some haystacks in my red canoe.

Classic! 8) 8) 8)

Thanks for the effort! A great watch particularly after watching Call of the River!

Thanks. It was really dumb luck that I started collecting old films and this just happened to show up on eBay. I was the only bidder... The first time I watched it, I had a sense of how important it might be.

A big thanks should go out to my friend Dave for doing such a great job doing the titles, leveling the audio, mastering the final product and being generally (almost) as eccentric as myself. I would have never found the film had he not pointed it out to me. Heck, I wouldn't even be on this site if he didn't talk me into buying a beat up ol' Dagger kayak years back. I've progressed to canoes since then; maybe he'll see the light some day! ;)

So can someone tell me who the narrator is? I'm dying to know.

Thanks,

Phreon

Considering how many times Dave Kurtz seems to appear as one of the supporters, etc... I imagine he might recall. Anyone here in touch with him regularly?

Mine just arrived in the mail today! LOOKS GREAT so far. Thank you for all your hard work, not to mention kind mention of Cboats! I assume your paypal account is still open? Please confirm and I'll send more $ your way as well.
Keep the C!

I just saw Dave at the Esopus Slalom this past weekend. I've e-mailed him a request for assistance. Do you know if he bought a DVD?

Yeah, my PayPal account is still open, though I feel kind of weird accepting more money. I couldn't say what our next project might be, though we've tossed around the idea of a short called, "Extreme Flatwater Paddling" or "Ragin' Riffles:Big Water Class I of the Little Miami". Personally, I'd like to see "Paddlesnake: The Musical", but that sounds resource intensive.

Unless somebody has forwarded a copy of the movie along or Dave requested one under a pseudonym, he does not have it.
