17th Annual Locust Fork WhiteWater Classic March 20th, 2010
Presented by
Locust Fork Racing & Friends of the Locust Fork River
The last race of our season has a date change. The Locust Fork White Water Classic will now be on March 20th in combination with the Alabama Mountain Games. Please pass the word.
Registration form is here:

This happens to be during the last weekend of ALF. So looks like I will be heading south to go boating in AL after all (Sorry TonyB and gumpy).
My question is who else is going?
Dooley ... Phil ... ?

Camp location
I will see Tony D or Zach tomorrow setting up for the Mulberry Race this weekend. I will ask if the camping will be at Kings Bend(race site).
I know there will be camping at the Mountain Games site(www.boogiebottoms.com).

Re: Camping
Sweet ... I will head there thursday evening after making a stop in Chatanooga to pick up a boat destined for Utah.old wrote:I was told this weekend that there would be camping at Kings bend for the race.
The ALF Boat Shuttle Service ... it's a wonderful thing!
Can someone refresh my memory if it is a dry county down there and where the last place to buy wobbly pops would be!
Re: Camping
I talked to someone from Friends of the Locust Fork and they thought the main camping (and the partying) would be at the AMG site, but (quieter) camping option would be at KB. The two sites are 10 min apart. This is unofficial info but they are pretty well in the loop.cmnypny wrote:Sweet ... That county (Blount?) is indeed dry. If you are coming down 59 then cutting across 231 I'd make a stop while you are still on 59. Course if you want anything besides the usual gas station fare (unless you get lucky) you'll need to plan ahead a little further. Can someone refresh my memory if it is a dry county down there and where the last place to buy wobbly pops would be!
