I'll be 58 in March, paddling for only a couple of years. I will be paddling this weekend with a 74 year young Jim Simmons; friend and mentor

Jim, 2 posts above me, is Connecticuts open boating legend as well as having good knees.
I'm 50,my knees suck, Gyramax kills me, my son Aaron is 16, his ForPlay C1 kills him, but we're good to go in OC. I think Aaron will be the next legend, as long as he sticks with single blades. I think he got the message Sunday that kayakers are a dime a dozen, while single bladers stand out in the flock.
so glad for Krylon, ABS and acetone.Squirt, sail, paddle and pole.

Began messin around in whitewater back in 1980. From Perception Spectrum to converted Pyranha I 4 C1's...from Mad River Flashbacks,Prophets and Ocoees to Skeeters, Quakes, Taureaus and Flys. Oh ya and several others that I hope to someday forget about. I'll be 58 the last day of March and I dare say I have "swam out of" more boats than most have paddled! (not very impressive, but fact!)...The wife; same age, just a few less years in the boats......"Hope she never reads this post!"

56 and accelerating. I was introduced to WW in 75 when my wife and I bought our first canoe and took it down the Cacapon. Not hair raising but I was hooked. It was 20 years later and three kids before I could return again. Now after 15 years of practice I'm getting pretty good.

Till next
