I have a canoe the likes I have never seen. I could only find one picture of the same model online.
Its a Blue Hole model MGB. The serial number is honest to God 0005. It has Mahogany gunnels, deck plates, thwarts, etc. Its 17' (I think, my tape measure ran out at 16').
It has been paddled 4 times, hung indoors for the last 26 years, and purchased from the Blue Hole factory new (not by me, but the previous owner).
Its as near mint as a canoe could be. I will almost certainly put it up for sale soon. Honestly I cant bear the thought of putting a scratch on this thing.
Oh, the wood work was done by Merrimack canoes, and is unreal. Obvious Merrimack seats.
Any thoughts as to value? I would love a collector or museum to have this boat
I have good pictures, but dont know how to insert them here.

The MGA and MGB were Mike Galt designed hulls for Blue Hole. Mike was an early proponent of solo flatwater canoeing that ultimately morphed into flatwater freestyle canoeing. Mike was also the owner of Lotus Canoes which are also commonly known as Galts. The MGA was trimmed like all the other Blueholes, but the MGB was trimmed with wood like Mike's Lotus models.
As to value, I suspect it won't be worth a huge amount, though I think it has historical value. Mikes glass and kevlar boats commonly sell for $1000 or less and most are in immaculate shape, though there are few people interesting in buying his boats, as newer "better" boats exist. So I'd be surprised if a MGB will sell for anything more than that. Your issue will be finding the right person who wants that boat. You might poke around on paddling.net, or the Yahoo Freestyle group to find an old Galt afficianado who might be interested in your boat.
