Ok, we will put you in the genius category along with Wiley Coyote. I will change my stance. There too many yankee rules.cadster wrote:They're clear to me and I'm not a Yankee, go to:old wrote:Information and content cross over to "chat" when? These yankee rules are hard to follow...

Also, there are no "tween'ers", is you is or is you aint?
I will also try to abide by the rules, but there is gray area with all rules.

'about information, not about chat' - Also glad thats not true.
Sounds more like a book to me, not a 'forum'.....or a quote ur lame boss throws out at a boring on-topic, no digression business meeting.

Louie got me into the sport and I lived at his house for quite a while. It isn't so much that Louie retaliates as instigates from afar. He loves to mash 'em buttons. Trust me, I know. Paddle a deathyak with the GDI. Two blades + inflatable = relentless harassment.
If common sense were the prevailing wage, I'd always be broke.

For those of you that think most of what is posted is "chat" - you are clearly too addicted to cboating to realize most of what is posted here would glaze most folks eyes over in seconds:). There no hope for us, and keep posting as always. Canoe / paddling / helpful content has always, and will always, be welcome, whether it reads like a book, novel, or comic strip.
For those that want a straight chat-room to BS about everything else, there are plenty of other places to go. We have no interest in hosting one here, as I've said repeatedly (and to which Louie agreed as I recall).
We let things loosen up a year or so ago. I think the temporary suspension of a member (albeit not a long standing one, though he is certainly long standing in the community) has proven perhaps though we had good intentions, we let it go to far.
I'll be sending Louie an "invite" back on Sunday night. I sincerely hope he rejoins us, as he does have a lot of great knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm to share... as long as he leaves the attitude (not personality ) at the door.
We'll be trying to do a bit better keeping things on-topic, and "trolling" and "baiting", unless they involve fishing posts, will be dealt with rather than let slide.
Call our rules what you will, but they are the ground rules of the place we call CBoats.net. If you can play by them, you are very welcome and we hope you get more out of our community than you give - I know for most of us that is the case, and I'm proud of the "community" we have here. If you don't like the rules, you are welcome to leave. No one makes anyone post here last time I checked.

Please don't confuse my posts with what I think about people. I know a lot of good yankees. I like most of them and I make fun of all of them. If they don't turn around and make fun of my old southern country a$$(politicaly correct for redneck), it's thier own fault. And Lord knows I give them more than ample opportunity.Rand C1 wrote:I'm from the North and I don't base what I think of people on geography. Just seems dumb.
