And now you have enough plastic for about a 1000 welds on there when you need it!

Good question, I had forgot to weigh it so I just ran out and did it. Its just a hair over ten pounds lighter.

Also, on a side note, I just put the top back on and it looks like I can make it into a 'convertable' if I ever get the itch to have the decks on for something. Can't imagine ever doing it, but interesting that its possible.

Thanks Larry! I'm not a huge fan of the stickers, wish I would have been able to get some factory Esquif stickers... never got an answer on gettting them, maybe they arn't selling them so that 'homemade' open versions can't be passed off as factory made or something.

Unless you are super handy and Have a lot of time on your hands, PAY the extra $300.00 for the Wood gunelled model, there is No way I would do this to Someone else's boat for $300.00 !
For me; boating brings me closer to to something divine, and in a open canoe I'm 8 Inches closer.

I agree totally. If you are going to do it, I'd suggest wrapping grip tape of some sort around the handles of the clamps (I used 6) as your hands get slippery with the watco oil dipped screws and trying to tighten the claps is tricky with slippery hands.
