Post by Paolo »

French Alps offers a lot of fun to paddlers, want you a little taste? The triple step rapid on the middle Guil:

Nice Video Paolo, I've been meaning to go back to the Guil and run Triple step amongst other things myself. What other bits of the Guil did you run, I've never seen another open boater out there.

Hi Jon,
I runned it all from Chateau Queyras to the lake :D , but just from the end of the Guardian Angel Gorge to the lake in open boat. The upper part I runned in a decked c1.
The only other open boater I seen here was Eli Helbert who runned the Guardian Angel gorge in his spanish fly with me in 2001.

Guil

I was there in 2001 as well in my SuperFly, and also ran from Chateau Queyras down to the lake, though as I said I portaged triple step, and one portage somewhere in Guardian Angel. Hope to go back next year, the Guil is still one of the best rivers I've paddled.
