Repairing a crunched bow with Devcon Plastic Welder

BTW, I'm not endorsing this product. Read what I say in the description of the video. I'm just impressed with the results so far. The repair will require contact with a river rock to really be evaluated.

I was going to put a Rec Repair skid plate over the repaired area, but decided to wait and see how the Plastic Welder stuff held up. If it doesn't, I'll be putting the skid plate on the bow. (I did that on a crunched Phantom bow and it has worked great and survived collisions.

Nice. How did you attach the raft vinyl to the boat? Vynabond?

Yes, Vynabond. If I did it again, I'd like to experiment with other adhesives like g/flex and Plastic Welder. The advantage of Vynabond is that with heat it makes an incredible bond. I wonder if the other two adhesives could do as well plus add a little stiffness. I may try them on an old boat just to see.
