select already makes some that are. i'm personally concerned about the strength of the joint, but if that could be ironed out and made so it doesn't get in the way, i'd love one that went from 54-60.

I don't see why they couldn't put their adjustable length t-grip on this 3-piece breakdown they already make...

I would LOVE to have a good adjustable paddle.
Many of the posters here have gotten to the point that they know exactly what length paddle they prefer for each type of situation but some of us are still trying to work it out.
Doubling as a breakdown paddle would be sweet also. Personally I would think that adjusting from 54-60" would be an ideal range but this could be negotiable.

I know exactly what length I want when the river is up and when the river is down - and they aren't the same length. And both are longer than will fit in all but my bigger solo craft. I'm not sure I'd want to depend on an adjustable one day in and day out, but it sure would be handy for a spare - just in case I need to loan it to somebody who doesn't agree with me on paddle lengths...

For we shorter folks a 52-56 inch option would be nice. ON low water 52 inches helps, usually use 54 inches and occasionally 56 inches.

I used the Sawyer Venom adjustable paddle for almost a year and didn't have any issues with the adjustment feature after I got it adjusted tight enough. I didn't like the position of the lower grip area on the crank shaft. I felt it was a nice thing to be able to adjust it on the fly, but after finding the right length, I never moved it.
