In my Pyranha Burn, I have the thigh hooks and combing trimmed more or less exactly like AJ's, but I have added hip braces, made of bent polyethylene and foam. It is real comfy but the wife's poodle refuses to curl up in it like the cat. I have the backrest of the seat only 8 inches from the interior edge of the rear combing. I am not moving it forward because friends say the boat looks trim, plus I am erring on the side of slightly stern heavy for better surfing control.
