Larry - I can go midweek boating sometimes if my workload isn't too bad, or if I make plans a week in advance or so. Let me know in advance when you're coming through, and I'll try to open some time up. Regarding play, fall can be the worst time of the year for play around here b/c Bob's Hole on the Clackamas is too low and Spencer's Hole on the North Santiam is washed out due to high flows caused by fall reservoir draining, but with our recent rainfall the winter play spots may be coming in. For example, the Wilson river, about an hour from Portland, has great play spots almost all winter long. Also, the rain may bring Bob's Hole back. Check out www.playboatingnorthwest.com for some information on playspots in and around the Portland area. And bring some warm gear - it's getting cold up here!
