I noticed all the paddle strokes on the way down as well. That is top dog paddling . A big ole canoe low brace ain't gonna cut it. 100 bucks says Tommy would land that sucker sideways and upside down.

But then, maybe not.... he could throw in some cross J jabs on the way down, you never know.
I also noticed JG was there, but not firing it up. Experience, age, wisdom, whatever you want to call it. Respect.
I have to disagree, though, about canoes being forgiving on flat landings, even though i know nothing about kayaking

. I landed my viper flat from just 15ft once and i tell you what, THAT F-ing HURT! I believe a c1 is more forgiving than it's kayak counterpart because of the posture and outfitting, yes. But I think displacement hull kayak would have to be way softer than a big flat bottomed canoe..not that it really matters on something that big.
If you're only worried about dying if you mess up a drop like that, you are dumber than we think. Dying would be easy! a more realist scenario is you end up paralized for the rest of your life and your mom has to spoon feed you baby food and wipe your butt for you. But hey, don't let me rain on your parade.
Fire it up. it 'll prove something for sure.
