"We designed 'em" C1 and OC1 video

Post by the great gonzo »

I just saw a really cool C1 and OC video, it is called "We designed 'em" (don't know how old it is, but I guess no older than a couple of years).
It shows mainly footage of Mark Scriver, Joe Langman, but also Paul Mason, Mike Yee, E.J. and many more, and not a single minute of butt boating  !

Most of it is C1 and OC1 playboating on the Ottawa, but there is also footage from the Moose in NY, the Rouge and Gatineau in QC.

very cool!! 8) 8)

You've found a good 'un. That is one of my favorite videos. There's also footy of the Kaituna hole in New Zealand.

Here's a link to the guy who makes the video. He's got a clip of We Designed 'Em, and a couple other paddling clips!

C1 videos

Post by River Rogue »

This looks like an incredible video... does anyone have any suggestions for other C1 videos? I am looking for just about anything with C1 action, but particularly instructional ones if they are out there.

Gotta watch something while my outfitting dries.

Yeah, I know...I got it bad.

River Rogue,

here is a link to a site that has a few instructional videos that are geared towards single bladers for sale.
Most of them are for open boaters, but at least one is for C1!

C1 video

Thanks, Martin!

I was hoping there were some specific to C-boating...but I will take what I can get. I am still getting used to my stern...which seems to have a life of its own now that I've switched from an OC1. But it is all good and I am having a blast! :D

I hope it is sooner than 6 weeks for you...

Anita,

They do actually have one that seems to be specifically geared towards C1, it is called "C1 Challenge", however since it is from the early nineties, you will most likely not find any Freestyle moves in there  .
I know what you are talking about concerning the problems with the stern, you should have seen me when I took my Delirious down the Ottawa for the first time :o ... let's just say it was very very amusing for my friends... 8)
...and if I am lucky the rivers will start to open in 5 weeks. So it's pool sessions until then  ...
