Also, has anybody ever ordered a custom C-1 skirt where the tunnel is somewhere between center and kayak position? Would that even be worth it, or if it's close enough to even consider just using a kayak skirt should I just go with that?
Can I see a show of hands, how many people paddle a conversion WITHOUT a custom skirt?
America, show us your skirts! (Europe too)

The custom skirt is SO worth it, especially if you sit far from the back of the rim. Mine is about a 10 inch offset, and it's A LOT dryer than the kayak skirt I was using before, because it doesn't pull away from my back. I think it was $20 extra from Mountain Surf, and it doesn't take long for them to do it.

I've paddled with both custom and standard (C1 and K1). Spend the extra $20 for the placement and the taller tube - we will be glad you did!

I guess my typical set up is further back than most, I've used the same off the shelf kayak skirt through three conversions...

I first borrowed an Out-Skirts kayak skirt. This was a great skirt, but I couldn't find one to buy. Then I bought an off the rack Bomber Gear skirt. It was hard to put on & it leaked. Then I gave my measurements to Mountain Surf. For ~$20 they put a taller C-1 tunnel where I needed it. The Easy-On has never blown & it's dry.

scott, i just saw the bulkheadish looking feature on the wavesport in your outfitting page, and i tihnk i will try something to that extent as well, i however will have thigh straps, and all that jazz. right now im working on finding a centered trim in my flirt. then i will go on to that. do you know how he attached the foam to the mount i saw a bolt, but what does it screw into?
