Lower Yough this weekend

Post by Doug McKnight »

Dave Swigley and I will be there with the Hoosier Canoe Club Sat. mourning. It should be the HKC since Dave and I are the only active canoeists. We have a noon permit sat. and puton before 8 sun. I could be talked into going to the Upper if I could get a ride. We're staying at Tall Oaks. Doug McK Cell is765 418 8834

Not sure at to the plans on Sat. - I'll most likely going to be with the kids working on paddling skills at Z, then maybe a loop run with them in the shredder, but for sure I'll be going to the B&G Fest in the late afternoon.

Might be doing the UY on Friday but doesn't help you.

Anyway thought this info would be of interest to you....

Wilderness Voyageurs is holding their 7th Annual Beer and Gear Fest. This year they added a 5K run to mix (get a run in before the beer drinking starts, right!).

Details:
Date: SATURDAY June 21st, 2008
Location - Just across from the Falls City Pub, Garrett Street, Ohiopyle

Time: 5K Run 1:00 -- Beer and Gear 3:00

Cost: $12 (You get an awesome Beer and Gear Pint glass to drink all the great beer you'd like) Of course you must be 21 to enjoy all the brew. Underage admission, $6. Live Music, Micro-Breweries & Gear Vendors!

I'll keep an eye open for you. Paul C.
