Micro as a C1 Creekboat

Just wondering if I could get some insight as to how this boat would perform as a C1. I'm looking at a Micro 240, it would be my first creeker. I've seen a couple comments either way on here but would like some more details if possible. Thanks!

Would epoxy be the way to go for wood to aluminum as well? I'm putting a t-grip on an old broken kayak paddle, to see how it works...

The back deck is almost the only roll I use, mainly because it's so fast. The main concern is of course the face exposure, but I've found that I can actually roll in shallower water without making contact. When I do encounter some friendly rocks, I've always taken them off the arms or the chest - wh...

I've got a fence rail in a boat that I bought recently, but it's about 2 inches off the hull in most places, and doesnt' really touch bottom except by the pillars. Is this because it was poorly installed? Any suggestions on how to fill the gap?

Ya I would have to agree that I would rather just leave them there, I'm just a bit worried about them catching on rocks and such during seal launches or in shallow water, as they are right on the bottom of the hull. Plus I'm likely going to be moving the straps that they're holding down anyways...

Hole repair on PE

I'm looking at buying a used pyranha s6f conversion, on which the current owner has drilled holes in the bottom of the hull to bolt on the thigh straps. I'm more than likely going to want to remove them, but I can't seem to find any info on patching holes in PE. Would I have to get it welded, or wou...

Boat Shipping

Anyone have any experience shipping boats from the US up to Canada, or just shipping boats in general? All of the quotes that I've gotten from the traditional companies are pretty ridiculous. What's the best (read cheapest) way to go? Any help would be appreciated, it's tough finding boats up here...

Weight range for conversions

I haven't been able to find much info on this, but what I have found seems to suggest that for converting a c1 I would want to be either below or at the bottom of the weight range listed for the kayak. Is that true, and if so, why exactly? Speed? And would the same hold true for playboats and river ...

Looking to get a boat from denver up to alberta

I'm looking at getting a boat from the denver area, and would love it if someone could get it up this side of the border for me. I could meet up most places in alberta. Let me know if you might be able to help.

4Fun weight question

I have the opportunity to buy a near-new jackson 4Fun shell, but am unsure if it's too big a boat for me. I'm 6', 165lbs and am currently paddling an atom. I'd like this boat mostly for playboating. The range given by jackson is 165-230. As a c1 does that range get lower?

Missoula Paddling

Some friends and I are planning a trip down to missoula sometime this summer, and I'm wondering if someone from the area might have some info on rivers we should be sure to hit (Class II-III), when we should hit them, good websites, guidebooks, etc. Any info would be appreciated.
