definitely the mitchell carbon paddles are bombproof, but if wear from gunnel prying is denting the carbon then i would suggest a wooden shaft, this will also make it easier on the joints in your arm because the wood has more natural flex if anyone is interested in ordering a mitchell i sell them in...

OC for a big guy
i just got a savage skeeter this year and outfitted it for myself. it works well and i weigh in at 230lbs and 6'2" not that it will help you that much cause its out of production, but if you are from the states you might be able tofind one of em... go for the bell ocoee, i have not paddled it myself...

I would reccommmend the Viper, i have paddled very similar hull designs and think they are very responsive but have excellent hull speed and stabilty, seem like a dry boat but i havent had much opportunity to try test that out... go for an Ocoee if you can find one, you said you are going out east? ...

Ahhh...i guess you have never heard of the sport before then....Canoe polo is a European invention, thus canoes/kayaks are the same thing.....therefore it is called canoe polo.... plus the 2-handed grip on the K-1 paddle works reallly well for throwing the ball around, i can only imagine how akward ...
