Once you add up the cost of the skirt and extra blade, I bet kayaking isn't significantly cheaper than open boating.
Also, people seem to be balking at the $1600 price tag on the L'edge, but not realizing the list price on an Esquif royalex boat is $1700.
Good work on getting more kids into open boats.

the nice thing about this sport is there are always used boats so it wont cost the $1600-$1800 ... i know i havent got that much invested in it yet and ive been paddling since i started in the school that smbjs is talking about ... its going to be fun and hard work helping the school out on that weekend ...
used boats like my skeeter are nice and still fun to paddle ... does that mean i dont want a new boat? no i am still trying to figure out how to get a blackfly lol
i would like to thank all of the people that have had an influence in my paddling since the first school i attended in 1998... i know i wasnt easy to put up with lol
